What is IBS?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common digestive disorder that affects millions of Indians and is characterised by a variety of symptoms such as bowel habit changes.

The two most common bowel habit changes associated with IBS are Diarrhea and constipation.

IBS and Diarrhea

IBS-D (IBS with diarrhea) is characterised by loose, watery stools. People with IBS-D may experience diarrhea several times a day.

IBS and Constipation

IBS-C (IBS with constipation) is a type of IBS that is characterised by hard, dry stools that are difficult to pass. People with IBS-C may have fewer than three bowel movements per week.
